3rd Grade
Third grade at HFCS is full of fun and exploration as students grow in independence and curiosity about the world around them.
English Language Arts - Students grow as readers and writers by exploring stories, sharing ideas, and building their voices as authors.
Math - We take on multiplication, division, fractions, and bigger numbers with curiosity and problem-solving strategies.
Social studies - Work focuses on our local community—learning how people, places, and traditions connect and change over time.
Science - Comes alive through hands-on investigations of life, earth, and physical sciences, where we practice asking questions, making discoveries, and learning from the world around us.
Religion - Throughout the year, we also deepen our faith by practicing the Golden Rule, learning the Apostles’ Creed, and growing in prayer, reflection, and service to others.
Third grade is a year of curiosity, responsibility, and compassion as we learn and grow together.
